SSH CENTRE Southern and Central & Eastern European workshops

These workshops highlighted the voices of Southern and Central and Eastern European (SE & CEE) Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) researchers tackling sustainability challenges. They aimed to show disparities in their research collaboration opportunities compared to Northern and Western researchers’ environments.

Aiming to overcome fragmentation across geography, discipline, and sustainability themes, the conclusions of these workshops were collected in a Position Statement translated in different EU and non-EU languages that gathered best practices for better integrating SSH into EU research and innovation policy.

SSH CENTRE brought together Southern European SSH researchers in Bilbao to discuss their current research environment.

This workshop explored the challenges SSH and STEM communities faced in Central Eastern Europe.
