Knowledge brokerage means acting as a bridge between the research and policy worlds to facilitate knowledge transfer and exchange, fostering mutual engagement, learning, and coordination. The involvement of Social Sciences & Humanities (SSH) disciplines is crucial as SSH knowledge helps understand and anticipate social changes, providing tools for driving change and supporting inclusive innovation. Our flagship SSH CENTRE Knowledge Brokerage programme involved 30 early and mid-career researchers who received a one-week live training and then supported six European cities in their decarbonisation policies over nine months.
More information about SSH CENTRE’s Knowledge Brokerage programme can be found in our SSH Open Knowledge Platform: Knowledge Brokerage Programme training materials – SSH CENTRE
