News from our Knowledge Brokerage Online Course

We are thrilled to share the success of our Knowledge Brokerage online course, which has attracted nearly 50 participants within the first five weeks of its launch. The first participants have completed the course and received their certificates of completion, showcasing the course’s effectiveness and appeal.

SSH CENTRE’s consortium partner, Energy Cities, has been instrumental in this achievement by hosting our course on their Local Transitions Learning Centre platform. They have also actively promoted the course through their extensive network of cities and stakeholders via their newsletter.

Energy Cities recently published a blog post highlighting the value of our Knowledge Brokerage course. The post emphasises how the Social Science and Humanities (SSH) Knowledge Brokerage programme equips researchers and policy professionals with the skills to transform complex sustainability ideas into practical solutions for city-level policymakers. Participants learn to unlock the power of Knowledge Brokerage, fostering impactful collaborations through short videos and interactive activities.

Our Knowledge Brokerage course covers essential topics such as the importance of Social Sciences and Humanities in sustainability policy, common challenges in the research-policy interface, and effective knowledge brokerage strategies. By completing the course, participants can better plan and implement knowledge brokerage initiatives, ultimately contributing to more sustainable cities.

We invite you to join this transformative training and become part of a growing community dedicated to advancing sustainability (climate, energy, and mobility) transitions through cross-sectoral collaboration. Enrol by December 20 and complete the course by the end of January 2025 to receive certification.
