D3.2 Policywork Realities: The SSH CENTRE Knowledge Brokerage Programme
The SSH CENTRE Knowledge Brokerage Programme bridges the gap between Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) research and policymaking. Launched in 2023, it fosters collaboration between researchers and municipalities to tackle local climate, mobility, and energy challenges. Through workshops with 33 researchers and 42 authorities, the Programme addressed real-world policy complexities, enhancing dialogue and understanding. Key outcomes included better communication between academia and policymakers, insights into the constraints of policywork, and tools to integrate SSH into decision-making. This initiative strengthens SSH’s role in shaping effective, sustainable policies while advancing research impact on local and EU Green Deal priorities.
This SSH CENTRE deliverable was submitted to the European Commission in November 2024.
