Ten challenges for successful inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration: Briefing Note collection of SSH CENTRE
This collection of ten briefing notes from the SSH CENTRE identifies key challenges to integrating Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) into climate, energy, and mobility research. Based on “epistemic experiments,” these notes examine structural and practical barriers to interdisciplinary collaboration. They offer actionable recommendations for researchers and funders, positioning SSH as a vital partner in understanding the social and political drivers essential for Europe’s carbon-neutrality transitions.
This SSH CENTRE deliverable was submitted to the European Commission in December 2025.
