Disparities remain
Despite efforts, disparities remain in terms of the participation of SSH researchers in many countries from Southern Europe (SE) and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) in research collaborations, as compared to Northern and Western scholars.
Overcoming fragmentation across geographies
Projects focussed on sustainability-related (climate, energy and mobility) challenges should overcome fragmentation across geographies (North/ South/ East/ West Europe).
Southern Europe and Central & Eastern Europe researchers' main challenges
This space explores several of the main challenges identified by Southern Europe and Central & Eastern Europe Social Science and Humanities (SSH) researchers and suggests how different institutional actors can better support their staff moving forwards.
This space is intended for:
policy officers at the European Commission working on EU Framework Programmes (particularly Cluster 5 of Horizon Europe),
funders and research institutions in SE and CEE countries, as well as
individual researchers interested in better supporting SSH insights from across the whole of Europe.
