SSH CENTRE ACTIVITIES.

Strategies for European Commission R&I policymaking communities

Our commitment is to boost the component of Social Science and Humanities in strategic EU programmes therefore we develop a cross-cutting actions to engage with different EU programmes:

⊕ Engaging with  SET-PLAN:

Our mission will be related to the revision of the SSH content of 13 SET-Plan Implementation Plans in collaboration with SET-Plan Implementation Working Groups (IWGs). IWG-specific recommendations will be provided to update these documents based on the latest SSH results.

Besides, we participate in 2+ EU Member States SET-Plan Steering Group meetings that involve presenting the project’s offerings and findings via EERA partner, who represents the project at three SET-Plan annual policy side events, with ongoing dialogue supported by biannual virtual meetings with EC staff to discuss synergies and participation.

⊕ Engaging with Horizon Europe Missions:

Virtual focus groups run by our partner Friends of Europe (FoE) based on the four relevant Missions will explore how citizens address the priorities identified within the Missions programme.

Their conclusions will be the starting discussion point of presenting recommendations for the 4 missions, and organising 4 online live panels (1 per Mission) for Missions policymakers to reflect on these.

⊕ Engaging with Cluster 5 Horizon Europe:

The main focus on this task will be analyse the key SSH aspects of the 11 target Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Partnerships through 6 high-level virtual meetings with Partnerships’ programme managers to transmit and discuss the results. This will be supervised by the SSH CENTRE advisory board to ensure their effectiveness.
