Implementing the knowledge brokerage initiatives

Real Knowledge brokerage initiatives enabled programme participants to deal with knowledge brokerage in a real context, i.e. the definition and implementation of decarbonisation policies in the local dimension, and put what they had learnt in training into practice. The cooperation of local administrations and their willingness to collaborate for the teams played an essential role.

In the case of the SSH Knowledge Brokerage Programme, the centrepiece of the initiatives was the creation of a City Hub Workshop, where the team, the local administration, local stakeholders and representatives from other cities discussed the specific issues of the Knowledge Brokerage initiative, provided data and viewpoints, and transferred knowledge and practices.

Each team was supported by a mentor belonging to an SSH CENTRE project partner.
